Noeleen in running for Miss Ireland
A student of St Angela’s College in Sligo will represent her home county of Monaghan in the Miss Ireland contest taking place later this week.
Noeleen Brady was named as Miss Monaghan earlier this month and will now take place in the Valera Miss Ireland 2012 pageant this Thursday, April 26 in Dublin’s Berkley Hotel.
Twenty-two year-old beauty Noeleen, is in her final year of study of the Bachelor of Education in Home Economics and Religious Education in St. Angela’s College.
“I am absolutely thrilled and honoured to have the opportunity to represent my college and county on a national platform. It has always been a dream of mine to enter the Miss Ireland pageant,” said Noeleen.
If Noeleen wins the pageant on Thursday night she will be crowned Miss Ireland and go on to represent Ireland in the Miss World pageant which takes place in Mongolia in August.
“It’s amazing to think that I could represent Ireland on an international stage and I would love to get the chance to be an ambassador for my country.”
Ireland has had only one Miss World winner in the 60 year history of the event, with Rosanna Davidson capturing the title in 2003.
