Among the seven athletes was Calry native Margaret Carr who began their day by meeting Special Olympics Global Ambassador and Irish golfing legend Padraig Harrington who offered the team some valuable tips ahead of the World Games.
The athletes were also put through their paces in a putting competition with Northern Ireland great Graeme McDowell where Margaret sunk her first putt.
Margaret, who is also a member of the Rosspoint Athletics Club, has been playing golf for over 15 years and she has won gold medals at previous games.
The Special Olympics World Summer Games will take place over the course of eight days, beginning on Saturday, July 25 and concluding on Sunday, August 2.
