The Glens Rock School, a non-profit community Rock School for young musicians, will be held again this summer, with some of Sligo and Leitrim’s top musicians tutoring and performing with the participants.

All tutors are professional musicians and experienced tutors and are locally based.

Young musicians will perform and compose with Tabby Callaghan, Ciaran Rock, Seamie O’Dowd, Kevin O’Gorman and Brian Sweeney, all under the watchful eye of Dee Armstrong from Kila.

All tutors and staff at The  Glens are garda vetted.

The Rock School will be held from June 29 – July 3 in The Glens Centre, Manorhamilton.

It is open to young musicians aged 10 -18, with 1-year playing experience and is suitable for all young musicians, from drummers to electric guitarists to banjo players.

The Glens Rock School is renowned for producing high quality music and participants get to showcase their work in a professional setting, with a real gig on Friday night in The Glens Centre.

The school will operate Monday- Friday, 10am – 4pm every day, with a public gig on Friday, July 3 at 8:30pm. Price: €70  per student /€60 sibling discount
