The third annual Night For Crumlin takes place in 5th on Teeling on Friday, September 11, boasting a line up of live acts and DJs to thrill music fans.
Back in 2013 the first Night For Crumlin raised vital funds for the Children’s Medical and Research Foundation at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin, Dublin. The hospital treats sick children from all over the country.
The contributions received on the night will go towards the foundation that provides the outstanding paediatric care and also the research needed to help our nation’s sick children. The Foundation has continued to grow and evolve by raising funds for capital projects, state of the art medical equipment, research programmes and further education investing largely through your generous support. Last year the event was able to raise €1,400 for the hospital and it is hoped that this year will be an increase on that.
To this end, organiser Jodi McCaffrey, has put together a fantastic line-up of local talent. Legendary Sligo musician Seamie O’Dowd and his son Rory will be performing, as will Sligo’s very own rock god Tabby Callaghan. Nirvana tribute band In Bloom, new to the Sligo scene but with members who have lots of experience, will be delving into the iconic grunge sound of the 1990s on the night.
There is more still. Darktown, Collette Sheerin, Peter Mooney and Daniel Melly will all be performing, and the night will end with Sligo DJ PC spinning tunes into the early hours.
The cost of admission for all this entertainment is just €10, but further donations for this very worthy cause will be more than welcome. Doors open at 9pm and the music will start just a short time later.
