Lough Gill Brewery will officially open its Brewhall & Visitor Experience today, October 2, as the independent Sligo brewery celebrates 10 years of brewing.
The new experience gives visitors the chance to discover the brewery at its source through brewery tours and tastings, an exhibition and a dedicated visitor taproom celebrating Lough Gill’s connection with Sligo.
The official opening begins at 3.30pm today (Oct 2), with speeches at 4pm and ribbon cutting at 4.30pm. Tours and tastings run throughout the afternoon, with live music from Dean Mahon from 6–8pm.
Celebrations continue on Saturday with a Family Fun Day featuring brewery tours, meet-the-brewers sessions, children’s entertainment, games, DJ Daithí O’Reilly and live music from Ryan Scanlon. Aidough Pizza and Smoky Wheels will be serving food throughout the weekend.
The development has been supported through the Shared Island Coast-to-Coast Capital Investment Scheme. The scheme is supported through the Government of Ireland’s Shared Island Fund and forms part of a wider tourism collaboration involving Fáilte Ireland, Tourism Ireland and Tourism Northern Ireland.
The opening marks 10 years of Lough Gill Brewery in Sligo and the start of the brewery’s next chapter as a visitor destination on the Wild Atlantic Way.
