The fundraising events for the Rory Gallagher’s Wish To Walk campaign continues apace in counties Sligo and Donegal.
Last weekend, Grange village hosted a trio of fundraising events, including a bake sale and a special spinning event in the local park. Gavin of G4 Fitness in Grange provided the exercise machines and thankfully the weather was pretty well-behaved for the cycle on Saturday afternoon.
Tomorrow, Friday, January 30, is the next event for Rory, a big children’s party in Five Star Fun in Grange from 6pm to 8pm. Admission is just €5 for the evening with all proceeds going to the campaign.
And then on Thursday next, February 5, the action switches to the Holyrood Hotel in Bundoran for a night of dancing with some fantastic musicians from all over the North West. Doors open at 8pm and the dancing starts from 9.
Admission is just €15 and there will be a raffle on the night for some great prizes.
Paul Kelly and his Band will be the headliners, but they will be joined by a wealth of music talent including Simon Casey, The Logues, Dylan Johnson and Jesse Conlon.
Plus it has also been announced that the Sea Sessions Surf & Music Festival taking place in Bundoran from June 27-29 has nominated Rory Gallagher’s Wish To Walk as their designated charity for 2015. For more on the festival, visit www.seasessions.com
