Sligo is home to an exceptional diversity of musical talent across all musical genres and the Model are staging a series of free events to say ‘Thank you Sligo’.
“The Model wishes to celebrate this incredible talent whilst thanking you, our local community in Sligo, for continued support,” says Denise Rushe of The Model.
“For the first in the series, The Model is delighted to welcome two of Sligo’s stalwart musicians – legendary guitarist and vocalist Seamie O’Dowd and superlative piano-man Kieran Quinn.
“Both have carved a serious reputation for their exceptional musical abilities both here in Sligo, nationally, and internationally. As a duo, they have become renowned for their blistering high-energy performances.
“Their distinct musical backgrounds meld in an unorthodox combination of styles and influences. Their repertoire consists of familiar favourites, original compositions, and surprising interpretations of traditional and jazz standards.”
