This weekend sees the return of the monthly 5th on Teeling Comedy Club on Friday April 17 with John Colleary.
Saturday night the venue will host one of the most fun, lively acts in Ireland – Attention Bebe! Saturday in 5th is also the official after party of the Battle of the Brave Mud Run.
John Colleary is star and co writer of three times IFTA nominated ‘The Savage Eye’. You will currently see him starring in RTE’s Irish Pictorial Weekly. His credits include appearances on ‘Stand and Deliver’ and ‘The Panel’ on RTE 2, as well as being the writer/performer of popular slot ‘Last Orders’ on Today FM’s Last Word.
He was voted sixth best comedian in Europe by ‘Ball Out Monthly’ Magazine.
Support and MC on the night is the lovable rogue, Niamh Marron. Niamh has written for Channel 4 Comedy, BBC1 and BBC3. Niamh’s energetic, bold and daring style of comedy is sure to leave a lasting impression on those from all walks of life. She has been the winner of many awards including Show Me The Funny, Kusanta Comedy God, Angelic Banana Smackdown, Tallaght Comedy Night, as well as being runner up of the prestigious UK’s Funny Women Awards in London and a finalist of RTE’s New Comedy Awards and Bulmers Nothing But Funny.
Bringing the party on Saturday is Attention bebe! A 12 piece 90s cover band based in Dublin with brass instruments, strings and rockin singers. They have been seen at some of Ireland’s best festivals including Electric Picnic and Body&Soul. They have also headlined 90’s concerts in Whelans, The Twisted Pepper and The Button Factory. They mainly play popular 90’s hit music.
Working with instruments such as trombone , trumpet, strings, guitar, and drums, but can cater to any instrument, if its needed for a 90’s tune!
Admission into the Comedy Club is €10 on the door (watch out for Facebook deals this week) and following the comedy club, there will be live music from Rory O Dowd in the front bar from 11.30pm til late, to which there is no charge.
Saturday is free admission all night and there will be DJ’s and Late bar each night as usual.
