A night of fashion and celebrity in the Radisson Blu Hotel will benefit two local causes.
Ireland’s Largest Fashion Show boasted talent including five former Miss Irelands, members of the current Sligo Rovers squad, The Voice of Ireland star Kelesa Mulcahy and many more who were modelling on the night.
The fashion show was in aid of both Sligo Rovers and Sligo Cancer Support Centre. There were some 120 models and over 600 in attendance.
Clothes were provided by EJ’s Menswear and Jodi’s Boutique. Kian Egan and Scruffy Duffy were on hand to MC the event.
Speaking to the Sligo Weekender after the event, Eamonn Cunningham from EJ’s Menswear was delighted with how the night went.
“We were delighted with it, I must say. It exceeded our expectations on the night. There were over 600 people there and the way everything went off was brilliant,” Eamonn said.
Eamonn believes the night was a success due to the support and the regard for the Sligo Cancer Support Centre and also because of dedicated Rovers’ fans.
“You had local businesses getting behind it and the concept was that ordinary supporters would get behind it to support it and model at it. The supporters really got stuck in,” Eamonn enthused.
A total figure for how much was raised was not available at the time of going to press, however Eamonn said it will be “substantial” and “exceed expectations.”
Funds will be divided between Sligo Rovers and their chosen charity for 2016, the Sligo Cancer Support Centre.
