Sligo-based musician Miles Graham has built a strong fanbase in his native Ireland, but one ex-pat has been championing his talents overseas.
Miles performed his latest single “I Can’t Love You Again” live on Terry Wogan’s hugely popular Weekend Wogan BBC Radio 2 show on Sunday last, January 11. And Terry also took the chance to talk to Miles about his music and his forthcoming UK shows in support of his UK debut release.
Terry’s influence in the UK music scene is not to be underestimated. He is credited with helping Katie Melua break out when he played several of her songs on his show. As well as having Miles on his Sunday show, Terry also had legendary singer Joan Armatrading.
Dublin-born singer Miles – who now calls Sligo his home – is releasing the single in the UK on February 9, the same day as his EP “Air In My Lungs” will also be launched.
And Terry Wogan isn’t the only fan of the soulful singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist at BBC radio. Cork broadcaster and chat show host Graham Norton played Miles’ new single on his own Radio 2 show on Saturday, January 10.
