5th on Teeling will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights for the Summer with live music. A dream team quartet of singers and musicians combine for what will be an All Star band in residence every Thursday.

The vocals of Hugh O’Neill, the guitar talent of Rory O’Dowd, the bass playing of Keelan Kelly and the percussion of Paul Wehrly will combine each week, starting at 10.30pm to celebrate the summer. Admission is free every Thursday night.

Rory O’Dowd is back in on Friday night as he brings his ‘New Jams’ night back to 5th. Craig McMorrow (The Voice of Ireland) will join Rory on the night amongst other special guests.

Then on Saturday, The Amazing Apples bring their “A Little Sense” album tour to 5th on Teeling. Amazing Apples have landed in 2015 with some striking singles – ‘Slipping By’ and their most recent single, ‘Lullaby’ – and now the Galway outfit have released their new album.

“A Little Sense” was recorded in Grouse Lodge with renowned Irish music producer, Joe Chester (The Coronas, Ryan Sheridan). The album was mastered in Sterling Sound (USA) by Greg Calbi (The National, Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon).

“A Little Sense” is an album brimming with inventive, thought-provoking music. From the opening moments, as beautiful guitar swells couple with pounding drums (‘On Your Own’), the scene is set.

The sweet and delicate single ‘Lullaby’, follows, pulling us in and setting us up for the incredible ‘Jack and Jill’ , a stunning and nostalgic love song that demonstrates Amazing Apples’ ability to skilfully walk the line between traditional Irish folk music and indie rock.

The five piece have established themselves as one of the hardest working acts on the Irish live music circuit, playing with Damien Dempsey, Ryan Sheridan, Mundy, Walking on Cars and Little Green Cars over the last 12 months.

It’s free admission to all three nights at 5th on Teeling and a late bar on Friday and Saturday. For more details see 5thonteeling.com or Facebook/Twitter.
