Havin a Laugh is the festival that keeps on giving. It’s popularity has grown over the past four years and it has gradually become one of the most hotly anticipated events of the year.

The Rennafix team have surpassed themselves by acquiring a brand new site for this year’s festival. Located on the serene woodland of Annaghmore Estate, Collooney, the festival is home.

The aim of Rennafix is to raise awareness and create support at a community level for mental health through physical health. There will be a whole host of activities to try on the day so whether you are an adrenaline junkie or just want to dip your toe there is something to suit every participant.

This year the event kicks off on Friday night in McGarrigles with comedian Eleanor Tiernan.

The Saturday adventure activities are designed specifically for the hesitant adventurer. For those of you new to adventure or just not sure if you’re up for a big day out this is perfect for you, with the option to ‘kick-back’ or ‘go-hard’ provided at every leg.

Choose between a full day wholesome Fresh Water Adventure Package or a Salt Water Mini-Adventure Package. Try your hand at hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, surfing, stand up paddle boarding and yoga during the day to awaken your soul, and at night under the stars allow the pulse of live music travel to your dancing feet.

With an eclectic mix of ear pleasing tunes brought to you by a mixture of live acts and djs, Havin a Laugh promotes inclusivity and craic in equal measures. Camping and a light breakfast Sunday morning is included in the evening pass.

The festival site at Annaghmore is open to all passers by on Saturday, July 4 from 2-6pm.

Escape in the wilderness of fairy forts and river trails, treat yourself holistically with reiki, yoga, and massage or raise your heart rate on the water slide and some river fun. You can feast on mouth watering munchies from Havin’ a Laugh kitchen all the while mingling amongst the nicest bunch of people you will ever meet.

Wind down on Sunday at the Strandhill Peoples Market, then spectate or participate in a light-hearted Fancy Dress Surf Comp. And all the adventurers will be gathering Sunday evening in the Strand Bar in Strandhill for prize-giving, including honouring someone with the Spirit of the Festival Award.

The festival runs from July 3-5. Deposits are required to book your place and sponsorship cards are provided with your welcome pack. For more information on booking and pricing visit www.havinalaugh.ie or come have a chat with the organisers at The Strandhill Peoples Market every Sunday.

This event is supported in partnership with Sligo CoCo and Failte Ireland.
